Interpreter of Flotsam

A book jacket based on the fictional title "Interpreter of Flotsam." I was challenged to develop the book's plot and create a 3-D typographic stage set without the aid of photo manipulation.

I based my story around a ferry booth operator in a tourist town who begins collecting clues to a mystery as they wash ashore each night. I chose to construct a box reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities and fill it with debris I  collected along the Mississippi River to evoke the "ocean treasures" our protagonist "steals away" from the sand on his nightly moonlit walks.
